In this workshop we will look at the challenges, benefits and worries around a child’s transition from a residential placement into foster care. The aim is to empower foster carers to consider step-down placements, to help foster carers understand the children better in order to support them as best as possible, to make the transition as smooth as possible for all involved and to help the foster families create a therapeutic, sustainable placement.
