E-learning Modules

AFKA Cymru has produced e-learning for each of the core titles identified by the Post Approval Learning and Development Framework for Foster Carers produced by the National Fostering Framework, the development of which was led by AFKA Cymru and The Fostering Network.

The core titles are learning and development opportunities which are deemed to be an essential foundation for all foster carers.

Each of our e-learning titles contains an online interactive video presentation which lasts approximately one hour and is aligned to the learning outcomes of the Framework. Once the presentation has been viewed, access is then granted to additional learning which should take a minimum of two hours to work through. The focus on creating these learning opportunities has been to ensure that learners are offered self-guiding and blended learning in an easily accessible format.

Learning can be recorded in the Personal Learning Record and Development Plan and discussed with your supervising social worker during supervision and in the annual review process.

All e-learning is presented in English with Welsh subtitles.
