These events usually include one training consultant or a combination depending upon the content.
We recommend a maximum of 20 attendees to enable the best participation, however numbers can be agreed on an individual basis.

Live delivery options include face to face, via AFKA training platform or commissioners on-line platform preference.
Our workshop programme is designed to meet the continuous professional development needs of those working across the child and family permanency sector.
Workshops can be delivered face to face or as live webinars. The workshop plan is updated at regular intervals and in line with current practice developments and changes in legislation or guidance.
Foster Carers/Kinship Carers/Special Guardians/Adopters – We reserve two free spaces on all AFKA Cymru events events (excluding DDP Workshops) for individuals offering care to children. The voice of foster carers, kinship carers, adopters and special guardians is central to every element of our work at AFKA Cymru.

Foster Carers/Special Guardians/Adopters – We reserve a free space on all AFKA Cymru events for individuals offering care to children previously or currently looked after. The voice of foster carers, adopters and special guardians is central to every element of our work at AFKA.
Our team is skilled in the area of event planning and can offer a bespoke conference and event facilitation service.
Basic package includes, Production of the event flyer (content to be provided and translated) and booking form Advertising support through our contacts, associates, and website. All elements of booking facilitation including sourcing venue and refreshments (to your own budget allocation per head).
Delegate Packs (content to be provided and translated)
Attendance throughout the day (1 Staff member) to support with any aspect of the setting up, greeting, registration and closing of the event. We are also able to offer a bookshop at the event with texts of specific interest to your own audience.
Our consultancy services range from 1:1 mentoring and coaching to fullservice review and development.

Consultancy arrangements may be secured outside of these fees on an individual basis depending upon the request.
+ VATOur e-learning modules are designed to provide flexible learning and development opportunities for foster carers, adopters and professionals.
New courses are developed regularly to reflect the best practice identified by the National Adoption Service and the National Fostering Framework
Licence – Free
Module - £15 per access. Each module includes recorded teaching (approx. 1 hour) with supplementary materials to enhance learning (approx2 hours).
All of our courses for foster carers are aligned to the requirements as set out within the All Wales Post Approval Learning and Development Framework for Foster Carers
+ VATWe offer other specialist courses throughout the year.
DDP Levels 1 & 2
These include Dyadic Developmental Psychotherapy (DDP) levels one and two.
Fees differ dependent upon the level, duration, and specialism.
DDP (no member discounts) Level one 4 full days: £830 Maximum numbers capped at 24 attendees
Level Two 4 full days: £875 Maximum numbers capped at 15 attendees
+ VATwe also offer comprehensive and up to date preparation training for prospective foster parents and adoptive parents.
Our preparation training includes 18 hours of delivery along with additional resources for extended learning. These are usually spread out over 3 days. When delivered on-line a combination of shorter webinars can be agreed.
Basic rate Full course: £1995
This covers delivery of live sessions during usual work hours - Mon-Fri
Re-scheduling
Rescheduling of commissioned events may be agreed, this is dependent upon training consultant and venue availability. We will always seek to secure a mutually convenient alternative date wherever possible. Rescheduling will incur a £25 administration charge and any non-refundable expenses.
Alternative Delegate
If you have booked attendance at any of our events and wish to offer your place to another delegate please let just let us know before the event, substitutions are always welcome.

The following charges are applicable in case of cancellation by the commissioner or an individual:
At our discretion, if we are able to reallocate your place then we will do our best and in these cases offer a full refund minus any administration charges.

Should we as an organisation be unable to deliver on any of our commitments, we will always provide an alternative date, alternative course or a full refund.
